Matoom: Under pressure
Celebrities are facing more pressure to be transparent and announce their full timelines before they tested positive for Covid-19.
The Department of Disease Control (DDC) is stepping up action against people involved with the birthday party of actor Techin Ploypetch, also known as "DJ Matoom", after more Covid-19 infections were linked to the event.
Mr Techin is himself in hospital being treated for the coronavirus, with some media reports making reference to a "super spreader" and efforts allegedly made to conceal his infection.
The DDC has asked the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) to prosecute infected people who conceal their timelines.

Rayong provincial authorities allowed markets to reopen on Thursday after they were ordered closed following a surge of Covid-19 infections in the eastern region.
The province has seen no new cases for three consecutive days.
Deputy provincial governor Anan Nakniyom said the Covid-19 situation was improving, although the province will remain a "maximum and strict control" zone until the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) declares otherwise.
He said easing Covid-19 restrictions in Rayong and a change of status from "maximum and strict control" zone to "control zone" was expected to be discussed by the CCSA on Friday.

The Public Health Ministry is concerned about the imminent reopening of Covid-hit schools in five provinces, says Education Minister Nataphol Teepsuwan.
The two ministries have been discussing how to get children back into classrooms safely for the new school semester in Bangkok, Samut Sakhon, Samut Prakan, Nonthaburi and Pathum Thani.
Mr Nataphol said he would prioritise people's health when considering whether schools should be allowed to open as planned on Feb 1.
He said his own view was that early childhood schools be the first to reopen, pointing out that the ministry had previously arranged early childhood education twice during the pandemic.

Mass Covid-19 testing will be ramped up in Samut Sakhon this week, as the province prepares to ease disease control measures put in place after it became a hotspot of the latest coronavirus outbreak late last year.
Testing has been ongoing in the province since December, and authorities there are hoping they can finish testing at-risk individuals by the end of the week, so the province can begin easing coronavirus-related restrictions.
Apisamai Srirangsun, assistant spokeswoman for the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA), said proactive screening and mass testing are the only ways through which authorities can determine if Samut Sakhon can be reclassified as a low-risk zone.
