APPLETON – A man died Tuesday in a house fire on Mayfair Drive. Fire crews responded around 11 p.m. to a house fire in the 1600 block of Mayfair Drive in Appleton, according to the Appleton Fire Department. Officials said the first crew arrived to the house engulfed in fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire from outside the home and discovered a man who lived in the home died. The fire is under investigation and a cause hasn’t been determined yet. The house is considered a total loss.

Firefighters responded to a report of a fire around 9:30 p.m. in a bedroom on the second floor of a home in the 500 block of North Division in Appleton. Firefighters found smoke at the top of the stairs to the second floor when they arrived, according to the Appleton Fire Department.
