President Bola Tinubu has written to the Senate to seek approval for $800 million loan to finance the National Social Safety Network Programme. The request was contained in a letter read by Senate President Godswill Akpabio on the floor of the Senate on Thursday. SaharaReporters had reported that former President Muhammadu Buhari had sought the approval of the 9th Senate in May to borrow the fund from the World Bank.
