“The grant request totals showed the CKCF Grant Committee and the South Kent Wind Community Fund Advisory Committee the current high level of need in the community,” foundation executive director Chris Pegg said in a news release.

“We are grateful to our partners at the Co-Investor Roundtable for providing further funding to some of our applicants and for helping to ensure that charitable organizations in Chatham-Kent continue to receive relief and recovery support.”
Ruth Hook, chair of the foundation, said the board of directors has approved making more funds than usual available for the next round in the fall for the first time.
