i m howard kurtz and this is mediabuzz. julian assange and, of course, the media and punching back on twitter, let s get back to my interview with sean spicer, i spoke to him from trump tower. sean spicer, welcome. thank you, howie. donald trump tweeted, i m asking the chairs of the house and senate committees to investigate top secret intelligence shared with nbc prior to me seeing it. i can understand his concern, but does that signal as president he will be ordering leak investigations to find out reporter sources? well, it s not the reporter sources, it s trying to figure out where it came from. there s a big difference between reportest doing their job and sourcing thicks and people in the government improperly giving classified information to people or potentially doing that. i think there s a big difference whether you re targeting the source or recipient. right. trump s twitter feed paralyzes and some seem say, hey, we shouldn t cover tweets which is ridiculous ....
feel your party, the democratic party does not pay attention to them any more you are more concerned with what bathroom people go into, to how they earn a living? what is the message. very fair question. one, you give me credit. it s about 1:10. it s not a bad rate for me. look, if we were going back in history to the 30s and 40s, and you asked the average working person, which party is the party of the working class in america? overwhelmingly, people would have said it was the democratic party. today people do not say that. and for good reason. no. when we talk about the greed on wall street, it wean the the republicans alone who did it, they did it with democrats. it was a democratic administration, not a republican administration, that brought forth nafta, i think the democrats have got to make a fundamental choice, chris, that is which side are they on? you cannot be on the side of wall street, of the drug companies and the insurance companies and the big mon ....
then president obama had seven new cabinet level officials confirmed. trump only as of right now has two. do you think that you re going to be able to stop some of his nominees, or are you just trying to slow down the process? well, let me say this. first, this cabinet is unusually unique and a lot different than others. we call it the swamp cabinet, billionaires and bankers. the number of wealthy people, the number of people rife with conflicts of interest and the number of people who have disagreed with what trump has campaigned on is so much more than just any other cabinet we ve seen, and so that means they need thorough review. thorough review so they don t have conflicts of interest, thorough reviews so we know, for instance, is dr. price going to try to privatize or end medicare when trump campaigned against it? and and are republican colleagues, i don t blame them with this cabinet, have tried to rush it through. advise and consent does not mean very easily be conf ....
