The Nigerian Army has confirmed the dismissal of two of its personnel who allegedly stole armoured cables at the Dangote Refinery in Lagos. SaharaReporters last Tuesday exclusively reported that two army personnel had been arrested for vandalising and stealing armoured cables at the refinery.
“They were summarily tried. During the trial, the evidence against them was presented and they were given the opportunity to present their cases and defend themselves, but were however found guilty of the charges levelled against them in accordance with military laws”.

The Nigerian Army has confirmed the dismissal of two soldiers, Corporal Innocent Joseph and Lance Corporal Jacob Gani, over alleged theft of armoured cables at the Dangote Refinery premises in Lagos State. The army's spokesman, Major General Onyema Nwachukwu, in a statement on Monday obtained by SaharaReporters said the two personnel were dismissed over the disgraceful incident which occurred on April 14.
