Bus intercepted with foreigners
GNR officers yesterday intercepted a bus with 50 foreign passengers that entered Portugal through the border crossing in Marco, in the municipality of Arronches, Portalegre; an unauthorised crossing point.
The bus, which had two drivers, also foreign, was sent to Caia, in Elvas, to be inspected by SEF Immigration and Borders officials.
A police source said 48 passengers stayed on the Spanish side of the border to be checked; SEF was verifying the situation of two people, and two others were allowed to remain in Portugal.

Movement between municipalities in mainland Portugal is again banned between 8 pm today and 5 am on Monday, without prejudice to the exceptions provided for, within the scope of the state of emergency to combat the covid-19 pandemic.
Regardless of the level of risk of transmission of the new SARS-COV-2 coronavirus, in which only 15 municipalities remain at extreme risk the ban on movement between municipalities applies to all of the Portuguese mainland. The ban on driving between the 278 municipalities on the continent over the weekend has been applied successively since the New Year period, "It is forbidden to move outside your home municipality in the period between 20:00 on Friday and 05:00 on Monday, without prejudice to the exceptions provided for", reads the Government regulation for the current state of emergency.

Most of the counties on the Portuguese mainland, with the exception of 25, will have a ban on travel between municipalities and a curfew between 13:00 and 05:00, this coming weekend as Portugal locks down further.
The Government today decided to "extend the rules currently in force" in the fight against the pandemic in the continental territory, within the scope of the new state of emergency, also determining a "precautionary measure" this weekend for the municipalities with the greatest risk.
The 25 municipalities that are considered to be at a moderate risk level, with less than 240 cases of infection per 100 thousand inhabitants accumulated in 14 days, are Alcoutim, Aljezur, Almeida, Arronches, Barrancos, Carrazeda de Ansiães, Castanheira de Pêra, Castelo de Vide, Coruche, Ferreira do Alentejo, Freixo de Espada à Cinta, Lagoa, Manteigas, Monchique, Odemira, Pampilhosa da Serra, Proença-a-Nova, Resende, Santiago do Cacém, Sardoal, Sernancelhe, Sines, Torre de Moncorvo, Vila de Rei,an Vila do Bispo.
