SAINT CLOUD (KNSI) — The St. Cloud Tech Tigers defeated the Alexandria Cardinals in high school baseball action on Thursday night. The Cardinals scored twice in the 5th inning. The first coming on a Lake Hagen RBI single. The other came on a Tigers throwing error. The Tigers scored three runs in the bottom of the 7th inning including a walk-off 2 RBI single from Matt Friesen. He was named the All-Star Trophy and Awards Player of the Game. Thomas Hoffman started for the Tigers pitching 6 1/3 innings and giving up 2 unearned runs. The Tigers next game is on Monday against St. Francis.

SAINT CLOUD (KNSI) — The St. Cloud Tech Tigers defeated the Apollo Eagles in boys basketball action on Monday night. The Tigers built a 38-35 lead at halftime despite Eagles guard Quemar Gresham who scored 17 points in the first half. Gresham finished with 21 points. Tech pulled away in the second half enroute to a 71-55 victory. They were led by Dontae Horshaw who had 17 points and was named the All-Star Trophy and Awards Player of the Game. With the win, the Tigers improve to 4-11 while the Eagles fall to 7-10. Highlights:

SAINT CLOUD (KNSI) — The Sauk Rapids Storm defeated the St. Cloud Apollo Eagles in high school boys basketball action on Tuesday night. Elijah Moilanen scored 9 first half points to help the Storm build a 34-28 lead. He finished with 19 points and was named the All-Star Trophy and Awards Player of the Game. The Storm continued to pull away in the second half and came away with a 68-55 win. Quemar Gresham scored a team high 21 points for the Eagles. With the win, Sauk Rapids improves to 7-4 while Apollo falls to 5-8. Highlights:
