Manipur: 31 murder cases pending for the past 10-30 years

Manipur Human Rights Commission (MHRC) team made a surprise visit to Thoubal Police Station in Thoubal district on Friday.
MHRC team led by chairperson UB Saha visited Porompat PS and enquired about the pendency of the cases and it was found that 3,498 cases, including the cases which were registered in the year 1999, have been pending in the police station.
The team assessed the facilities provided by the old age homes and the children's home including food, accommodation and healthcare.
MHRC chairperson Justice UB Saha advised the functionary of Senior Citizens Home to help the aged persons in approaching relevant authorities so that they can seek their benefits.
