REGIONAL SUMMARY:
A total of 26 disasters (7 floods, 3 landslides, 4 storms and 12 windsrelated) affected the region in week 18. These disasters occurred in Cambodia, Indonesia, and the Philippines. The National Committee for Disaster Management (NCDM) reported that strong winds and storms occurred in Bântéay Méanchey, Kampong Speu, Kampong Cham, Kratie, Oddar Meanchey, Koh Kong, Kampong Chhnang, Kandal, and Svay Rieng Province, Cambodia. High intensity rain caused floods and landslides in West Java, North Sumatra, North Kalimantan, and Aceh Province in Indonesia as reported by Badan Nasional Penanggulan Bencana (BNPB).
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported a tornado accident to have occurred in Iloilo City, Iloilo (Region VI).

REGIONAL SUMMARY:
A total of 13 disasters (4 floods, 3 storms, and 6 winds-related) affected the region in week 16. These disasters occurred in Cambodia, Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand. National Committee for Disaster Management (NCDM) reported strong winds and storms occurred in Bântéay Méanchey, Cambodia. High intensity rain caused floods and winds in two (2) provinces in Indonesia as reported by Badan Nasional Penanggulan Bencana (BNPB).
Typhoon SURIGAE caused flood and winds in five (5) regions while localized thunderstorm which resulted to flooding occurred in Cotabato Province, Philippines as reported by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC). Lastly, the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) reported that low pressure area covering upper Thailand together with the southwestern wind resulted in windstorms in 15 provinces since 20 April.

REGIONAL SUMMARY:
A total of 23 disasters (18 floods, 3 landslides, 1 storm, and 1 wind-related) affected the region in the tenth week of 2021. Indonesia has reportedly been affected. Several localised heavy rainfall (some accompanied by strong winds) which triggered flooding events and the overflowing of rivers have been reported by Indonesia’s Badan Nasional Penanggulan Bencana (BNPB). Coastal flooding was reported in Medan City, North Sumatra on 30 March. Lastly, Nusa Tenggara Barat and Nusa Tenggara Timur have also notably been affected by Tropical Cyclone 26S (Sroja) on 3-4 April.
HIGHLIGHT:
According to the reports from the BNPB, high intensity rainfall on 30 March, coastal flooding has affected and inundated 12.3K households in Medan City. It is estimated that around 52.3K people have been affected in six urban villages in Medan Belawan Subdistrict that is often flooded when high tide and heavy rainfall coincide. Locals also attributed the flooding to clogged drainage due to plastic waste. The local disaster management agency of Medan carried out monitoring and coordination with relevant agencies and community stakeholders. Meanwhile, the effects of TC 26S (Seroja) in Nusa Tenggara Timur have alarmingly resulted in the deaths of 55 individuals. Data collection is still ongoing but reports already indicate that 10 have been injured, 42 are missing, 256 people have been displaced, and 829 families/4,145 people have been affected. The situation is reportedly still not conducive.

REGIONAL SUMMARY:
A total of 21 disasters (18 floods, and 3 wind-related) affected the region in the tenth week of 2021. Indonesia and the Philippines have reportedly been affected. Strong winds and several localised heavy rainfall which triggered flooding events and the overflowing of rivers have been reported by Indonesia’s Badan Nasional Penanggulan Bencana (BNPB). Meanwhile, the effects of a low pressure area caused the flooding in Aklan Province of Western Visayas in the Philippines as reported by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
HIGHLIGHT:
According to the reports from the BNPB, high intensity rainfall the past week caused flooding in five (5) regencies and one (1) city in East Java. The heavy rainfall also caused the overflowing of Kedunggaleng River (Probolinggo), Lamong River (Gresik), and Bt. Bondar Datuak Amat (Lima Puluh Kota). Around 9K people have been affected in the province. Flooding has already receded in some areas, but local disaster management agencies and relevant authorities are continuously conducting rapid assessments and monitoring of the situation.

A total of 23 disasters (10 floods, 2 landslides, 9 winds-related, 1 storm, and 1 earthquake) affected the region in week 9. These disasters occurred in Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines. High intensity rain causes floods, landslides, and strong winds in ten provinces in Indonesia as reported by Badan Nasional Penanggulan Bencana (BNPB). The M5.8 earthquake reported by BMKG occurred in 54 km northwest of the Mentawai Islands, West Sumatra. According to Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM), the high pressure zone from China spreading down resulting in thunderstorms and winds in 17 Province in Thailand. Lastly, Heavy rainfall caused flood and landslide in Banaue, Ifugao (CAR) while strong winds have destroyed homes and crops in North Cotabato (Region XII), the Philippines.
