Committees consider the issues which fall within their sphere and are of interest to the members of the national delegations and the member states of the Baltic Assembly, work out joint positions and consider and prepare recommendations to the Baltic Council of Ministers. Cooperation with international partners provides opportunities to formulate common policies, find common solutions to challenges and problems and represent the interests of the regions.  The Baltic Assembly has developed relations with regional parliamentary cooperation organisations. Baltic Assembly has signed Agreements on Cooperation with the Nordic Council, the Benelux Parliament and the GUAM Parliamentary Assembly. Baltic Assembly is an active member within the Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference.
