Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke at the 'Ahlan Modi' event in Abu Dhabi, where he mentioned that UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed readily agreed to the proposal of building a temple in Abu Dhabi when it was presented to him in 2015. Modi expressed gratitude for the overwhelming affection shown by the audience at the event, emphasizing the strong bond between India and the UAE.

Scheduled to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday (February 14), the UAE temple is among 1,200 such temples built and managed by the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha.
