The Karnataka Government on Tuesday increased the Dearness Allowance of State government employees by 2.75 per cent with the retrospective effect from January 1, 2022.
The state government also said that it will enhance the rates of Dearness Allowance from the existing 24.50 percent to 27.25 percent of the Basic Pension/Family Pension.
Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) have been hiked for central government employees and pensioners respectively.
With this recent rise, DA will be 34% of the basic income. Over 50 lakh government employees and 65 lakh pensioners will profit from this move.
