Worcester youth clubs nostalgia: how we used to beat the boredom
THE Worcester News cuttings files keep coming up trumps (for which we give thanks to those long-departed breed, the newspaper's library department) – this week's file features the youth clubs of old in the city. The bulk of the cuttings and pictures in our files relate to the City Youth Centre, later Youth House, in Spring Gardens next to the City Walls Road, from its grand opening in January 1971 onwards but there are also earlier stories and pictures from the City Youth Council in the 1960s as well as break dancing in Warndon in the 80s and skateboarding too.
