Driver remanded in custody following fatal crash Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following a fatal collision in Carranballac, east of Lake Bolac, on May 12. Detectives arrested the 30-year-old man of no fixed place of abode Saturday. He was charged with dangerous driving causing death and remanded in custody to appear before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court Sunday. The Unit was informed on Friday that they would no longer be able to operate out of the base, due to a risk of electrocution and mould embedded in the building’s frame.
