Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel blames the central government for second wave.
As the second wave of the coronavirus devastates Chhattisgarh with more than a hundred thousand active cases, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has blamed the Centre for the second wave of infections, saying the Narendra Modi government did not advise the states or provide guidelines to deal with the pandemic.
Baghel, who was in Assam for election campaigning when Naxals killed over 20 security personnel in Chhattisgarh, said the second wave of infections was “Central government’s mistake” as it “didn’t make us aware of the second wave.”

Chhattisgarh Maoist attack: Security Forces Walked Into U-Shaped Trap Based On Faulty Intel, say sources

Jawans Walked Into Maoists' U-Shaped Trap Based On Faulty Intel: Sources
Chhattisgarh Maoist Attack: Once one of the teams reached the spot, some 400 Maoists encircled the security personnel from three sides.

Bijapur Naxal Attack: Over 30 personnel were injured in the line of duty on Saturday.
Raipur:
The security forces that were ambushed by Maoist guerrillas in Chhattisgarh on Saturday were acting on what is now being viewed as faulty intelligence. They had received inputs about the presence of two of their top leaders -- Madvi Hidma, the People's Liberation Guerrilla Army's (PLGA) battalion number 1 commander, and Sujatha, an associate -- in the Jagargunda-Jonaguda-Tarrem belt. It turned out to be a trap, sources now say.

Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], April 5 (ANI): Drawing an analogy with "Nero playing the flute while Rome was burning", BJP leader Raman Singh slammed Chhatisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel for continuing with the poll campaign in Assam at a time when the state is facing a double whammy of Naxal attack on security personnel and worsening COVID-19 situation.
"At a time when at least 22 jawans have lost their lives and more than 30 jawans are injured, and COVID fatality rate is rising, the Chhattisgarh CM is busy in the election campaign in Assam. Rome is burning and Nero is playing the flute," Singh said while speaking to the reporters.
