পুলিশ সূত্রে জানা গিয়েছে, যে স্করপিও গাড়িটির মধ্যে গুলিবিদ্ধ দেহটি পাওয়া গেছে, সেই গাড়িটি পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুরের এক ব্যক্তির। তদন্তকারীরা জানতে পেরেছেন, ওই গাড়িটি বন্ধক ছিল রাজেন্দ্রর কাছে।
"We have called for a bandh after seeing the condition here. This incident (the alleged murder of a BJP leader) was very shameful. Constant attacks are done on the Rajbangshi people which shows that TMC is against Rajbangshi," BJP leader Debasree Choudhury said.
