Besides Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, party national president J P Nadda and other senior leaders would also take part in various campaign programmes of the NDA in the southern state in the coming months ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. The NDA has also decided to visit all Christian houses in the state with the Christmas message of PM Modi.
Modi emphasised that it was not just the victory of the leaders in Delhi but also of the workers who have devoted their lives to serving the party and the people in their areas. The Prime Minister also asked the MPs to address him as just Modi and not ‘Modi ji. He said that the public knows him only by the name Modi, so there is no need to create a distance between them by adding formal titles like 'Adarniya', 'Shri', and 'Ji' to his name.
Speaking at BJP parliamentary party meeting, Modi said not any leader, but 'team spirit', should be credited for the party's big win in the recent polls. He noted that besides the win in three states, BJP's strength grew in Telangana and Mizoram, sources said. He asked leaders to focus on teamwork in future elections.
