Mount St. Mary’s University and Saxbys, a Certified B Corp, have formed a partnership to open an exclusively student-run cafe on campus in the fall. Through The Saxbys Experiential Learning Platform (The Saxbys E.L.P), students will be empowered to attain real-life business experience, in addition to earning college credits and a salary.

Byline Share This Post Following a national search, Mount St. Mary’s University has named John Nauright, Ph.D., as dean of the Richard J. Bolte, Sr. School of Business, effective June 14, 2021. He brings to the Mount deep experience in developing and leading innovative business programs both in the United States and internationally. Nauright currently serves as dean of the Stephen Poorman College of Business, Information Systems and Human Services and director of the Clearfield Campus at Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania. He directs programs in business management and marketing; finance, insurance and risk management; accounting; computer science; recreation and tourism management; cultural heritage management; sport management; sport psychology; clinical mental health counseling; criminal justice; and social work as well as offering an integrative studies program and minors in entrepreneurship and environmental studies. ....

Together as One Campaign this month, Mount St. Mary’s University has raised $33.9 million from 10,548 donors in support of the university community’s shared vision to educate the next generation of ethical leaders to lead lives of significance in service to God and others. The campaign, begun in 2018, originally sought to raise $30 million. “We are blessed by the generosity of our donors who support the university’s strategic growth in educating the next generation of Mount students in the Catholic intellectual tradition,” said President Timothy E. Trainor, Ph.D. “In its 212-year history, the Mount has been nurturing the mind, body and spirit of thousands of Mounties, many of whom who have gone on to make major contributions to society and have given back to their alma mater in countless ways.” ....
