ICSE cancels class 10 boards exams, withdraws option for students to appear later

The criterion and the date of result declaration would be announced later, says CISCE
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) on Monday told schools that the ICSE Class 10 examinations had been cancelled due to the rising COVID-19 cases.
In a letter to all heads of schools that were presenting candidates for the exams, CISCE chief executive and secretary Gerry Arathoon said: “Given the present worsening situation of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country, the CISCE has decided to cancel the ICSE (Class 10) 2021 examination…The safety and well-being of our students and teaching faculty is our topmost priority and of paramount interest.”

Maharashtra SSC, HSC Exam 2021: As per the latest update, the Maharashtra Education Department and the State Board is considering postponing the Maharashtra SSC Exam 2021 for Class 10 students and Maharashtra HSC Exam 2021 for Class 12 students due to the rising COVID-19 cases in the state. While the state school education department has already announced the dates of offline SSC and HSC board exams, students are not in favour of the conduction of offline mode of exams due to a recent surge in COVID-19 cases in the state.

Punjab govt postpones class 10, 12 board exams due to rise in COVID-19 cases

Chandigarh (Punjab) [India], March 15 (ANI): Amid a continuous increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in Punjab, the state education department has decided to postpone the class 10 and 12 board examinations.
The exams were supposed to begin on April 9 and March 22 respectively.
Now the class 10 board exams will be held from May 4-24 and board exams of class 12 will be held from April 20 to May 24.
Punjab is one of the five states that continues to report a surge in the COVID daily new cases, said the Union Health Ministry.
