On April 3rd, the KNU Mutraw Daily News reported that during the month of March, 190 armed clashes took place between the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA), the armed wing of the Karen National Union (KNU), and the coup Military Council in Mutraw (Hpapun) District, a territory controlled by the KNU’s 5th Brigade, resulting significant casualties for the Military Council.
The Cobra Column announced that 20 Military Council soldiers were killed and 10 were captured alive during the 7-day clashes that took place from March 25th to 31st in Myawaddy Township of Karen State on the Thailand-Myanmar border.
