This is due to the recent reports of a potentially more contagious COVID-19 variant - the B.1.1.529, since termed as Omicron - which may be circulating in Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, and Zimbabwe.

Travellers from India must travel on VTL-designated services to Singapore. The VTL will commence with six designated flights which will operate daily from Chennai, Delhi, and Mumbai.
