Border Security Force Inspector General of North Bengal Frontier Ajai Singh on Tuesday said that the forces are getting full cooperation from the state police during the conduct of their operations and thus its capabilities have sharpened and not demolished after the Central government increased the jurisdiction of BSF to 50 km from the International Border (IB) along India-Pakistan and India-Bangladesh borders.

The India-Bangladesh border in Tripura will be completely fenced by next year to ensure fool-proof security, a top BSF official said on Saturday. Border Security Force Inspector General (Tripura Frontier), Sushanta Kumar Nath, said that 80-85 per cent of the 856-km-long India-Bangladesh international border in the northeastern state has already been fenced.

The BSF official said that the India-Bangladesh border in Tripura will be completely fenced by next year.

Border Security Force (BSF) on Thursday said that amendments in their operational areas have been made to establish uniformity and they always work in close coordination with state police.
