>> reporter: the plalatest is ae speak right now, the jury is inside the courtroom, the judge has been reading instructions for 30 minutes and we're expecting closing arguments to begin any moment now. this is after 11 days of testimony, 60 witnesses called for the prosecution and not a single witness called for the defense. but really, you have to remember, this is just the guilt phase of the trial and the defense has never contested that robert bowers was the one who killed 11 worshippers back in 2018. the defense has been focused to if bowers is convicted, the death penalty phase of the case. yesterday we heard from the 60th prosecution witness that was andrea wedner, who was a survivor of the mass shooting almost five years ago, but her mother, 97-year-old rose did not. she described being terrified and saying it was indescribable we thought we were going to die and then described on the stand

prepare you for an experience like this to see your flock slaughtered. >> reporter: this new video among dozens of new exhibits released by the court, one image shows a rifle magazine on the floor of a hallway, another shows crime scene tape and blood on the ground. this image shows tree of life prayer book with an apparent bullet hole in the top. the rabbi says he kept the book saying it is a witness to the horror of the day. one day when i'm not there, this book tells a story that needs to be told. accused killer spent day two of the trial intently watching multiple witnesses for the prosecution take the stand. bowers has pleaded not guilty to all 63 charges. carol black was in the synagogue that morning and recalled hiding in the closet as bullets rang out saying she watched her friend, melvin, die in front of her. black escaped but her brother did not survive. she was the first family member of a victim to testify.
