Brampton residents interested in pursuing a career in fire services are invited to apply for the George Hitchcock Memorial Endowment Fund, commonly known as the George Hitchcock bursary. Brampton Fire and Emergency Services created the George Hitchcock Memorial Endowment Fund in 2014 in honour of the late Division Chief George Hitchcock, who served in Brampton Fire and Emergency Services for 33 years.
