Mayawati, the leader of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), responded to Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav's jibe about the BSP's potential involvement in the INDIA alliance. Mayawati urged Akhilesh Yadav to introspect before making unrestrained comments and pointed to his reputation and alleged anti-Dalit policies.
BSP's UP unit chief Vishwanath Pal told PTI on Sunday, "This time on behen Mayawati's birthday, the party is organising public meetings in all 75 districts of the state. In these public meetings, the people of the state will be given information about the various public welfare schemes of the BSP." He said that the party is fully prepared for the Lok Sabha elections to be held in the next two-three months and is organising these public meetings to energise its workers for the elections.
