Kota Kinabalu Journalists Association (KKJA) has appointed Datuk Seri Yong Teck Lee as the association’s Life Advisor. KKJA Chairman Jimmy Goh presented Yong with his appointment certificate during the association’s courtesy call at the latter’s office, here, recently. Jimmy also extended the association’s Press Day gala dinner invitation to Yong. KKJA will be holding its Press Day gala dinner at Bukit Padang’s Putera Ballroom on Aug 31. Yong is a Nominated Assemblyman and Chairman of the Poic Sabah Sdn Bhd. Yong served as the 10th Sabah Chief Minister from 1996 to 1998. During the courtesy call, Jimmy and Yong exchanged pleasantries. Yong also displayed his “reporter bag” which he said was a gift from KKJA on May 23, 1998
