Die Parlamentswahl am Sonntag in Bulgarien dürfte äußerst spannend werden. Trotz der Gefahr einer erneuten Pattsituation hat sich die Ausgangslage verändert. Die GERB des bisherigen, und Korruptionsvorwürfen ausgesetzten Regierungschefs Bojko Borissow liefert der Protestpartei ITN des TV-Komikers Slawi Trifonow ein Kopf-an-Kopf-Rennen. Ein Systemwechsel scheint möglich.

Eine große Unbekannte ist die Wahlbeteiligung. Dem System Borissow könnte je nach Beteiligung das endgültige Aus drohen. Bei der vorangegangenen Wahl im April ging der als proeuropäisch geltende Borissow mit seiner Partei GERB erneut als stimmenstärkste Kraft hervor, er musste jedoch herbe Verluste hinnehmen. Borissow stand bereits seit dem Jahr 2009 fast durchgehend an der Spitze der Regierung. Gegen ihn wurden jedoch vermehrt Korruptionsvorwürfe laut, die sich im vergangenen Jahr vor allem in Form von Straßenprotesten äußerten.

Borisov in a phone call on April 19 on the election victory of his Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (GERB) party. 
During the call,
Borisov’s leadership, Turkey’s Communications Department said in a statement.
The president also wished that the process of forming a new government would be completed in the best way.
Yesterday's conversation took place a day before GERB was given a mandate in an attempt to form a government.
