KiwiRail spending $2m on protecting South Island link from Timaru coastline erosion
Kiwirail is spending $2m on a rock wall to protect its Main South rail link near Timaru. A 500-metre rock wall costing $2 million is being built under legislation for emergency repairs to protect the Main South rail line from the threat of erosion south east of Timaru.
