Once a Week Trash Pick Up in Lawton Starts April 5th Monday, April 5th (04-05-21). The City of Lawton and City Council made the decision to go to once a week residential trash pick up awhile back at the very beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic due to expected budget shortfalls, but delayed action until now. Originally it was suppose to happen back in October of 2020 or at least that was the target date. City of Lawton Has Purchased The Central Mall (FIRES Innovation Science and Technology Accelerator) project. The Lawton City Council met last Friday (12-18-20) in a special session to finalize the purchase of the mall at a price tag of 14.6 MILLION! They'll be closing on it (01-05-21).
