Barcelona confirmed on Friday they plan to appeal coach Ronald Koeman’s two-match touchline ban.
Koeman has been sanctioned after being sent off in the second half of Thursday’s 2-1 defeat to Granada. The referee’s report stated he was handed his marching orders for saying, “What a character.”

The Barca boss is now due to be banned from the bench for key games against Valencia on Sunday and Atletico Madrid on May 8 unless the appeal proves successful.

'Let me speak!' - Furious Pique confronts referee after Barcelona lose Clasico to Real Madrid

What's been said?
Barca were also left frustrated by a lack of additional time following a lengthy break in play to fix the referee's equipment, with Pique the first man to confront Manzano and his officiating team.
The Spanish defender, who was an unused substitute, could be heard telling Manzano: "You gave us little extra time, and you've been off the field for a long time."
Barca delegate Carlos Naval attempted to restain Pique, who continued by pleading: "'Let me speak, let me speak."
"Video exclusive" the conversation between Pique and the referee after the match:

In Barcelona’s 1-0 win over Valladolid on Monday, a few different things were accomplished. The most important was that Barcelona closed the gap with first-place Atletico Madrid to a mere point with nine matches left.
The second most important aspect of the match was Lionel Messi escaping without receiving a booking. If the captain was booked, he would be out for El Clasico this weekend.
Messi, chatting it up with Carlos Naval, mentioned at halftime he thought the referee may have been intentionally looking to get him booked.
