uh, you had a great year. I know it didn't come out the way you wanted it to today. But, um, for everybody's benefit in here and for you guys benefit. I want you to know that you guys scored the most points in the history of North Carolina State High School Athletic Association state championship games and lost by 15. Nobody had ever scored more than 83 a loss. And you guys put up 98 today. You kept fighting and you had a great year. So keep your head up and keep your chin up about that. You guys played really, really well. So, Coach, I'll ask you just give a brief opening statement, um, and then introduce each of your players will talk to the media that are here, and then we'll talk to, uh and then we'll talk to the ones online as well. So let's go ahead. I was in a great season with these three young men, uh, you know, uh, and I guess, as a coach coach forever, it never helped three guards like this is one time, you know, and it's now, listen, makes my job a lot of these It makes me look like I killed, so, you know, hats off to these three young men and guys. I love you. Introduce the three players. Coach. Uh huh. To my left. Um, Junior, uh, she'll be a junior this year. Dwight. Candidate beside him, sophomore Keenan Wilkins. And beside him, my leader, my senior leader, Carson Red. All right, Dean, if you've got questions, go ahead. Which guys just didn't quit? I know that, major crown personal matter. Um, you know, and this group never quit. You know, they all year, you know, they feel until the final buzzer goes off, they have a shot. You know, these guys never quit. You know what it goes? You know how hard they worked all year. And, you know, that was our thing All year was never quit. And these guys never gave up. Play to that final horn tonight. Uh, senior Carson Carbon, The n c State guy. That was was both of them. That was another. You know, that's a funeral. The kids going into states and special kids. But, you know, I feel like I've got kids just as good as he is. You know, these guys are These guys are sophomores and juniors and, you know, and Carson is a four through 44 leader. Like I said, I'm sick of mhm. There's no guards or no basketball players in the model judges. You watch this game tonight. You see 33 of the best boys that you want to see around. Dwight, you can just talk about your first experience in the state finals. I know you probably will definitely want to come back. Yeah, it's a real feeling. I mean, not many teams from our county do this experience. I'm glad I can do with these guys. I love all of them to be back. Yeah, that's the same question you can a second year. It's like next year we'll come back bigger and stronger. They have a chance. We went inextricably. And Carson, I was just gonna ask you about your, um, season in the career. You had a conditional? Uh, yeah. Oh, it's been special. Uh huh. Good experience to blame everything. My playing on this is definitely the most memorable year. All, uh, I was proud of our team to make the state make the championship, but I just wish we get uh, ended on a win, but I'm proud of regardless. And it was a good experience. Kyle, if you got any questions online, go ahead. Just how much fun was it for you guys? I know you don't get the result, but how much fun was it to to be a part of such a high scoring fast game? Obviously, you set the record for points by a team that lost in total points. Uh, title game. Just how much fun was to be a part of that? Um, it was cool. Uh, best type of game that we like playing last night. I know we like to run and play fast pace of these guys knock down threes, and they always run the lane. I can find them. I know. I enjoy it. Like, uh what Carter said. That's just our game. Which fast paced scene? Um, which good results in the wind? Very far. They really said it. You know, we had an amazing experience come up to the green, broke 34 hours away, but made the best of because they come out on top. Anything else, Kyle? If not last thing. And that's the last thing I'm gonna ask you guys just for the players. You know, high school athletics is about learning life lessons. Right? Uh, what have you guys learned this year? About yourself and about your teammates? I just learned never going to quit. Mm. Our team. We'll fight hard to the end. Uh, Madden score. And I'm trying to be a part of the group of this group of guys. I really just learned to trust my teammates. What? My coach has works. They've always never let me in the wrong way. Always in the right way. Well, yeah. I just learned what personal saying. Like, we just never give up play with a lot of passion and heart. Uh um, we just trust each other. What? Tina said, uh, as the season went on, we just kept doing the bond and trust in each other on and off the court. Coach. Last word for you. What you learn from this group. You know, this group is been building since they were 3rd, 4th graders, and, you know, and this is the I guess I can't say they reap the complete benefits of it. But this is what happens when you play together and trust each other. And you know, this group of seniors? I'm really gonna miss him. I've got seven seniors in this group, and they been playing since third grade. And, you know, it took the bumps and bruises from all these all star au teams. And, you know, this is what it takes when you stay together and play together. Guys, congratulations. All had a great year. Nothing to hang your heads about. Um, yeah, I know you're gonna work hard. Those of you that are going back, those of you going off to college and you got good things ahead of you. So congratulations and coach, Great year. Thank y'all and go enjoy the rest of the day with your teammates together, okay?
