Four kids and one adult are still in the under ground cave. right now, there is heavy rain rolling in. we keep reminding this is monsoon season. and the amount of water and mud that can fill up in the cave very quickly is a scary prospect. david mckenzie is in thailand with the details. good morning thanks for being there. what do we know? >> what we know is the teams are in the cave system in the mountain behind me. as you can see the rain is falling down on my head. that's a worrying sign. now the next step will be to see if the elite divers and the team of about 18 can get the next boys out...

We want to make sure that people who are helping get everybody out that they get out safely because it's the thai navy seals who lost one life here tragically last week. one of their divers, a former navy seal diver who came in and volunteered who died in the narrow corridors, flooded corridors of the cave system in what is a perilous operation. divers we've spoken to say they have to navigate razor sharp rocks, rushing currents that get faster when the water levels get lower, tight bends, they have to supply extra tanks for air along the way. the boys themselves had to be dressed in wet suits...

That is what led to the initial significant flooding into the the cave system. it has been all but quiet generally speaking over the past several weeks but the pattern now shifts to be much more wet than it was initially when the boys were first trapped in the cave i system. notice each and every afternoon we have bands of heavy rainfall that work their way into northern thailand. with it 15, 20 millimeters certainly possible and you're talking about generally 3/4 of an inch to one inch of rainfall over the next three days we're talking about upwards of 60 millimeters of rainfall, which is abo...
