However, whether α-synuclein spreading occurs before its aggregation remains unclear. Researchers from Tokyo Medical and Dental University (TMDU) showed that monomeric α-synuclein can propagate through the brain lymphatic system before it aggregates. This study might contribute to the development of new strategies to limit the progression of Parkinson’s disease.
