Varanasi will host a training program on medical certification of causes of death. The workshop aims to build the capacity of trainers who will then train others in the civil registration system and medical certification of cause of death. Participating doctors have been nominated by the Director General of Medical and Health and 18 government medical colleges in the state. The workshop will be followed by a six-day workshop on International Classification of Diseases (ICD) death coding.
