Foothills Flyers midget 1 are enjoying good season

The Foothills Flyers midget 1 hockey team are currently enjoying an 8-3-0 record in the Tier 2 division of the Central Alberta Hockey League.

Town council decides to remove ice from THRC arena

With “heavy hearts,” Nanton Town council decided Feb. 1 to have the ice removed from the arena at the Tom Hornecker Recreation Centre.
The Alberta government imposed new COVID-19 restrictions in late November that forced the Town to close the arena to public use. Meanwhile, administration estimates that it has cost the Town $1,445 per week to keep the ice in at the THRC arena.
