West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday alleged that the violent incidents in Hooghly and Howrah over the Ram Navami processions occured because of the Bharatiya Janata Party and questioned the need for the fact-finding team when normalcy has been restored.
The MHA has asked all states to ensure law and order during the Hanuman Jayanti festival in the wake of communal violence in Bengal and Bihar during Ram Navami.
The TMC also said the party leadership will evaluate the court order and take steps accordingly. “This is an order from the court. The party leadership will evaluate its contents and decide on them.” Ghosh said.
