Ile-Ife (Sundiata Post)- A nine-year-old lion has reportedly killed Olabode Olawuyi, a staff of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife,

A 9-year-old male lion on Monday killed a zookeeper while feeding the wild cats in their den at the Zoological garden of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

The university said due to the incident, and to allay the fear of members of the community, the lion was put to death humanely.

Following the tragedy, the university management informed the victim’s wife and children about the incident and urged them to take solace in God. | Pulse Nigeria
