Tenant sues over icy slip, fall at O'Fallon apartment

Young BELLEVILLE — A woman is suing the owners/managers of her apartment complex, alleging she slipped on ice and suffered injuries.  Alison Musser filed a complaint Dec. 29 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Century Development LLC and CR Holland Commercial Real Estate, doing business as CR Holland Property Management, alleging negligence.  Musser alleges in her complaint that she was at her apartment complex on Savannah Noel in O'Fallon when she slipped and fell on ice near the complex's entrance. Update on 'The Crossroads' campus, which is to be bigger and taller than predecessor

Last week, crews began tearing down the former Sears Auto Center, which was part of the mall proper. Demolition overall is expected to wrap up next June and new construction activity should begin. Previously, a couple of buildings on the mall's western periphery (the old Best Buy and Applebee's restaurant) were razed to make way for the new series of office, retail and entertainment structures and green space.
