Bhubaneswar gets common facility center for Pharmaceutical Cluster | Bhubaneswar News

BHUBANESWAR: A Common Facility Center (CFC) for Pharmaceutical Cluster (Cuttack-Bhubaneswar) was inaugurated by Union minister of state for MSME Pratap Chandra Sarangi in Mancheswar Industrial area here on Sunday. It will work as a testing and training facility for pharmaceutical units in the state.

Farmer leaders criticise Union minister's 'anti-national forces' statement

Farmer leaders on Friday criticised Union minister Pratap Chandra Sarangi’s statement that anti-national forces are behind the ongoing farmers’ agitation against the new farm laws.
Sarangi, the Union minister of state for animal husbandry, dairying and fisheries, had said earlier on Friday: “No one, neither the farmers nor their leaders, is above the law. The farmers have been instigated to organise the agitation. There is no ground for agitation. Anti-national forces are behind the agitation. These reforms are for the good of farmers.”
Soon after Sarangi made the statement at the BJP party office, state convener of the All India Kishan Sangharsh Coordination Committee, Suresh Panigrahi, termed Sarangi, who hails from Odisha, as anti-farmer.

Expedite work of AIIMS satellite centre at Balasore: Union minister Pratap Chandra Sarangi | Bhubaneswar News

BHUBANESWAR: Union minister of state for MSME Pratap Chandra Sarangi has urged Union health minister Harsh Vardhan to expedite the infrastructure works of AIIMS Bhubaneswar's satellite centre at Balasore.
The satellite centre came into being in the year 2016. One day OPD had been held since 2017 in the presence of AIIMS Bhubaneswar doctors on each Saturday at a venue provided by the defence research and development organisation (DRDO) at Balasore. This OPD is stopped since the outbreak of Covid-19.
He also drew the attention of the Union health minister over continued delay in full-fledged functioning of the satellite centre. "The civil construction work of the satellite centre is moving at snail's pace. The OPD block and the staff accommodation blocks are yet to be completed. There has been considerable delay and adhocism in the implementation of this prestigious project and the primary reason, as I understand, is the absence of earmarked funding," he added.
