The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, in cooperation with some non-profit organizations, has distributed 36,000 Iftar meals to worshippers in the Grand Mosque of Makkah on Ashura Day, which fell on the 10th of Muharram. A presidency representative said that 150 employees of both genders helped distribute the meals at designated places in the mosque. Earlier, the Presidency said that all its agencies and departments were ready to receive visitors to the Grand Mosque on the 10th of Muharram.

The King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Royal Natural Reserve has been accredited by the International Union for Conservation of Nature for meeting international administrative classification standards.
