Cinco De Mayo 2021: Inspiring Quotes To Celebrate Mexican Holiday

Cinco De Mayo 2021: Inspiring Quotes To Celebrate Mexican Holiday

Cinco de Mayo, also called the Anniversary of the Battle of Puebla, is observed annually on May 5. Despite being a Mexican holiday, Cinco de Mayo is more popularly celebrated in the United States.
On this day in 1862, the Mexican military won over the French forces of Napoleon III. Sometimes, Cinco de Mayo is confused with Mexican Independence Day, which falls on Sept. 16.
Here are some quotes, taken from Poem Of Quotes, to celebrate the Mexican holiday:
1. "For children, diversity needs to be real and not merely relegated to learning the names of the usual suspects during Black History Month or enjoying south-of-the-border cuisine on Cinco de Mayo. It means talking to and spending time with kids not like them so that they may discover those kids are in fact just like them." — John Ridley
