Swimmer circumnavigates Olango in 12 hours
ENDURANCE SWIMMER. Cleevan Kayne Alegres (inset, center), 25, swims five more kilometers upon realizing that he still had energy and stamina left after accomplishing his goal of swimming 20 kms. around Olango Island in Lapu-Lapu City on April 4-5. He dedicated his swim to the celebration of the 500 Years of Christianity in the Philipppines and Victory in Mactan. He swam 25 kms. in 12 hours counting in the two hours wasted in finding his direction at night. He had two companions, Ryan Galo and Jason Earl Bilangdal (inset, first and second from left), but they quit before reaching 20 kms. Also in inset photo are Reinwald Ebora and Alniño Obguia.
