It's your turn: Vaccination appointments open to Quebecers 18 and older

MONTREAL --
Young people, it's now your turn to get the shot.
Quebec has opened up appointments for COVID-19 vaccines to all Quebecers 18 and older in one of the final phases of the mass vaccination campaign.
The age limit wasn't officially supposed to be lowered until Friday, but the ministry of health has consistently opened up appointments one day earlier than its official roll-out schedule prescribed.
People can book an appointment by visiting the Clic Sante website or by calling 1-877-644-4545.
About 45 per cent of the population in Quebec has received a first dose of the vaccine and even younger people in the province could soon start to be vaccinated as well.

Palais des Congres offering walk-ins for vaccines and a 'surprise guest' to lure young people

MONTREAL --
Montrealers who are looking to get a COVID-19 vaccine but don’t want to wait for an appointment might be in luck if they head downtown on Thursday.
The regional health authority, CIUSSS du Centre-Sud-de-l’Ile-de-Montreal, announced it will start doing daily walk-ins for COVID-19 vaccinations at the Palais des Congres beginning Thursday and it is hoping it will lure more young people who are now eligible with a "surprise guest."
The CIUSSS told CTV News the mystery guest is a musician, but declined to offer any further details. The guest will be at the mass vaccination centre between 9 and 10 a.m. to "greet young and old alike," according to a news release.
