At least one person has died after a house fire that burned around 4:30 a.m. Monday morning on the 100 block of 17th Avenue S.

There were no injuries, according to the report.

City of Sartell (KNSI) – Sartell’s first full-time fire chief is on the job after being hired in late March. Peter Kedrowski started in his new role with the Fire Department on April 12th. Chief Kedrowski has been a firefighter for 24 years with the Rice and St. Cloud Fire Departments. He started with Rice when he was 18 and said firefighting was in his blood. “My dad was a volunteer firefighter. The earliest back, I have a picture, I was about five years old, sitting in my little pedal fire truck, looking back at that, I already wanted to be a firefighter at five.”

St. Cloud family displaced after Saturday fire Times staff report A family of six was displaced following a fire Saturday evening, according to the St. Cloud Fire Department.  No one was injured in the house fire, but it caused an estimated $86,500 in damages, according to the Sunday Critical Incidents Report.  The fire took place around 9 p.m. Saturday off Ninth Avenue South in St. Cloud, according to the report. Firefighters suppressed a fire in an upstairs bedroom quickly, but there was smoke damage throughout the home.  The cause of the fire was under investigation.
