A record 4 million people across 79 different countries participated in Code Week 2021, the European Commission announced today (January 24). The initiative, run almost entirely by volunteers, was started in 2013 as a way to empower young people to understand how technology plays a role in society. The Commission supports the movement through its Digital Single Market strategy and as part of Europe’s Digital Decade.
