A Black History presentation online
African Art Migration: From the Tribe to Museum Walls, a new program examining African influence on modern Western artists such as Picasso, Matisse, and Modigliani will be presented via Zoom 6:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday March 3, marking the end of this year’s Black History Month, according to a press release from sponsor Norwalk Public Library.
The program, an ArtScapades production, will be presented by longstanding art appreciation teachers Robin Hoffman and Jodi Stiffelman, who have held forth at museums and libraries in Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts and Florida. ....

Dallas nonprofit helps formerly incarcerated people start their own businesses
With employment options scarce for the formerly incarcerated, the Dallas Entrepreneur Center Network at Red Bird has launched a new program.

The Dallas Entrepreneur Center Network at Red Bird wants to help formerly incarcerated people become entrepreneurs with Second Start, an eight-week boot camp sharing entrepreneurial knowledge and resources on how to start your own business.
NTX Inno last week reported on the program’s curriculum, which puts an emphasis on mentorship and business fundamentals including social media management and cash flow management. ....
