Commonwealth distributes nearly 600,000 vaccines over past week20/04/2021|7min The federal government distributed nearly 600,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine last week and is expected to increase that number this week, according to the Vaccine Operations Coordinator Commodore Eric Young. Commodore Young was appointed the operations coordinator for the Health Department’s Vaccine Operation Centre and will continuously brief National Cabinet in that capacity. The operations coordinator said the federal government will distribute every vaccine with the exception of an “appropriate contingency”. “With the support of our partners, DHL and Linfox, we distributed nearly 600,000 doses of the vaccine across Australia last week, and this week, we re on track to slightly increase that again,” he said. ....
