New Car Model Calendar 2021. Car Launch Dates for Every New Model Coming to Australia in 2021.

Here’s everything you can expect to see touch down on Australian shores in 2021, and when!
The year 2020 was one that many would like to forget, and the automotive industry is no exception.
Lockdowns and economic slowdowns brought on by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic translated exactly as you’d expect for Australia’s new-car sales, with a staggering 48.5 per cent sales decline in April, contributing to an overall market down 13.7 per cent by the end of the year.
Despite the sales slowdowns and production delays caused by COVID-19, 2020 was still a relatively strong year in terms of new model launches, with highlights from the year ranging from the rapid Ford Fiesta ST and Mercedes-AMG A45 S hot hatches in the first half of the year, to the new-generation Isuzu D-Max and Kia Sorento toward the year’s end.

2021 BMW X5 M & X6 M Competition 'First Edition' now available

Very exclusive ‘First Edition’ versions of the BMW X5 M Competition and X6 M Competition are now up for grabs in Australia. However, you better get in quick as just four of each are allocated for the local market.
Yep, just four examples of each of the X5 M Competition First Edition and X6 M Competition First Edition are up for grabs in Australia. That’s of the 250 units planned globally. That makes these some of the most exclusive performance SUVs on the market, and they are sure to sell out quickly.
It is a bit strange these are called the First Edition though, as the super-SUVs hit the market earlier this year. They boast a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 that belts out a monster 460kW and 750Nm, translating to a claimed 0-100km/h time of just 3.8 seconds. This is currently BMW’s most powerful production engine.

BMW Australia has confirmed it has secured a small allocation of First Edition variants based on the recently launched X5 and X6 M Competition large SUVs.
Only four examples will head Down Under in the first quarter of next year, split evenly between the wagon and ‘coupe’.
At $264,900 (driveaway) for the wagon and $273,900 (d/a) for the coupe, the First Editions command significant premiums over the 'regular' X5 and X6 M Competition variants they're based upon, which are priced from $209,900 and $213,900 (plus on-road costs) respectively.

2021 BMW X5 M And X6 M Competition First Edition Priced From AU$265k In Australia

Out of the entire global allocation of 250 units for each model, Australians will get only four X5 M and another four X6 M Competition First Edition models, with a driveaway price set at AU$264,900 (US$199,495) and AU$273,900 (US$206,272) respectively.
Local deliveries will kick off in the first quarter of next year, but customers can already order a build slot online for a AU$5,000 (US$3,765) deposit. Subsequently, the preferred dealer will be informed to carry out the consultation concerning the spec of the car and they will then discuss delivery details.
Available in the BMW Individual’s bespoke paint finishes of Frozen Marina Bay Blue and Frozen Dark Silver, the two SUVs ride on exclusive 21-inch front and 22-inch rear Jet Black alloy wheels. The exterior is adorned with carbon fiber side mirror caps and engine cover, while the X6 M Competition adds a lightweight rear spoiler as well.
