Peanut butter and jelly. Batman and Robin. Rock and roll. Fried chicken and video games. Some things just go together like KFC Gaming and Cooler Master, which teamed up to create a game console with a built-in roaster.
The KFConsole, a Bargain Bucket-shaped machine fitted with an internal cooling system to extract heat, is the world s first device to feature a chicken chamber, designed specifically to keep contents hot and ready for consumption during intense gaming sessions, KFC says.
The American fast food restaurant chain is no stranger to unique PR stunts: It has hired a slew of celebrity Colonels (Rob Lowe, Ray Liotta, Billy Zane, Reba McEntire, and Mario Lopez have all donned the iconic goatee and string tie); released fried-chicken-flavored edible nail polish and scented bath bombs; and it follows only five Spice Girls and six guys named Herb on Twitter. ....

KFC announced Tuesday the creation of a new gaming console, KFConsole, which has a built-in chicken chamber to keep food warm in while users play.
The bucket-like console has a cooling system which transfers the heat from the components to the chicken chamber, keeping the hardware cool and the chicken warm.
The chicken chain has partnered with Cooler Master, Intel, Asus, and Seagate to create the KFConsole.
If Sony or Microsoft want any tips on how to engineer a chicken chamber for their efforts next time, they d be welcome to get in touch, said Mark Cheevers, PR & social media lead at KFC UK & Ireland. ....

KFC announced Wednesday the release of its KFConsole, a gaming console in the shape of the fast-food chain’s familiar Bargain Bucket of chicken.
While many believed the release of the KFConsole to be a gag, it is, in fact, real. CNN Business confirms that KFC created the gaming console under its KFC Gaming branch in partnership with Cooler Master, a computer hardware manufacturer based in Taiwan.
“The KFConsole has arrived,” states the Cooler Master website. “Forged from the fires of the KFC ovens and built by Cooler Master from the ground up, there has never been a tastier way to experience the latest titles in stunning 4k, 240fps.” ....
